The challenge
RXR Realty, a prominent real estate and infrastructure owner, investor, operator, and developer, required an upgrade to its cabling and fiber infrastructure across multiple locations. With a need to support modern communication and security systems, RXR Realty sought to enhance connectivity in their offices and conference rooms, as well as ensure efficient communication within their buildings.
The goals
Enhance Office Connectivity: Install Cat 6 cabling in key office areas and the conference room.
Upgrade Intercom Systems: Reinstall intercom cabling to improve front door reception and APM communication.
Improve Fiber Infrastructure: Install and terminate multimode fiber to support high-speed data transfer and security.
Our Approach
ESC Cabling furnished and installed Cat 6 dual cables in four offices, one conference room, and the reception desk, ensuring robust connectivity in these critical areas. Intercom cabling for the ICM was reinstalled in the front door reception area and APM to enhance communication. We also furnished and installed multimode 12-strand fiber to the 27th floor and Cat 6 cabling for the PMO security system. Multimode OM3 fiber was installed in bus and star configurations to accommodate various network configurations. The fiber was terminated using LC termination, with panels installed using Versions A 12 Strand and Versions B 24 Strand, leaving one LC jumper for connection to customer-compatible equipment.
Through these comprehensive cabling and fiber installations, RXR Realty now benefits from enhanced connectivity and communication infrastructure, which supports their operations and improves overall efficiency. This project meets current technological needs and positions RXR Realty for future advancements and scalability.
