Advanced Surveillance and Access Control Systems

Mosholu Montefiore Community Center

The challenge

Founded in 2004, the Mosholu Montefiore Community Center (MMCC) serves over 35,000 individuals annually, ranging from preschoolers to senior citizens. As an equal-opportunity employment program, MMCC provides support, enrichment, education, and recreation programs to help community members lead full and productive lives. To ensure the safety and security of its extensive facilities, MMCC required an upgrade to its surveillance and access control systems.

The goals

  • Enhanced Surveillance: Install a comprehensive and high-quality panoramic camera system.
  • Improved Access Control: Implement a robust door access system to secure entry points.
  • Reliable Infrastructure: Ensure a durable and efficient network setup supports all installations.

Our Approach

We furnished and installed an Axis Panoramic system, including 12 cameras and mounts, providing expansive surveillance coverage. To support this, we completed the necessary cabling, patch panel installations, jacks, terminations, and thorough testing to ensure reliability. A small, wall-mounted 36” rack was installed to house the network equipment. For access control, we implemented an Axis 2N door access system for two doors, including IP card readers, door strikes, and door position sensors to secure entry points and enhance overall facility security.

Through these targeted upgrades, the Mosholu Montefiore Community Center now benefits from advanced surveillance and access control systems, ensuring a safer environment for all community members. This project not only addresses current security needs but also supports MMCC’s ongoing mission to provide enriching and supportive services.
