For over 25 years, The Brotherhood Sister Sol (BroSis) has been a leading force in addressing justice issues—ranging from racial and economic to educational, environmental, criminal, and gender justice. With a focus on supporting Black and LatinX youth through comprehensive programming, BroSis needed a significant upgrade to their technological infrastructure. The goal was to enhance their educational and community facilities to better serve their mission of empowering young people.

Upgrade Connectivity: Install a robust and high-speed network infrastructure.
Enhanced Surveillance and Security: Deploy advanced video management and surveillance systems.
Modernize Educational Tools: Equip classrooms and conference centers with the latest technology.
Facilitate Communication: Set up state-of-the-art video conferencing capabilities.
Future-Proof Facilities: Ensure the technological setup is scalable and adaptable to future needs.
Our Approach
We began by installing fiber optic cables between the network closet and equipment room for high-speed connectivity, supported by fiber concentrators. Cat 6 cables were laid to all essential locations, including cameras, desktops, IP audio systems, smart boards, and the video conference center. We enhanced security with Axis cameras and video management systems and installed Axis IP audio systems on the first floor and roof. 50 touch screens with carts and Neat Bar conference units were installed for modernized learning. A Crestron video conference center was set up for high-quality virtual meetings. Finally, we built a dedicated network closet and installed two racks and POE switches to support the network infrastructure.
Through these comprehensive upgrades, The Brotherhood Sister Sol is now equipped with cutting-edge technology, enhancing their ability to educate, support, and empower young people in their community. This project not only improves their current operations but also sets them up for future success in their mission to foster justice and equality.
